Student Council Executive Board

The 2017-2018 Student Council executive board has been selected by the members. Congratulations to  Secretary Trinity Taylor, Treasurer Emma Woodbury, Vice President Cian Connor, and President Quentin Dancewicz Helmers. Student council will have their final meeting for 2016-2017 at 7:30 am in room 106 on Monday, June 19th.

Senior Obligations

Seniors are reminded that all outstanding obligations must be taken care of before you sign out.  This includes cafeteria, library, books, uniforms, and anything else you owe.  If you aren't sure if you owe something, please check with the appropriate person before next week.

Student Council Bake Sale

Student Council is having a bake sale this Wednesday, June 7th in order to raise money for Home Base. Home Base is an organization that helps veterans and their families cope with invisible wounds such as PTSD. Come support our veterans during lunch.

Athletic News

The baseball team lost in the quarter-finals to Campbell, 10-5. Congratulations to the team on a much improved season from last year; only one win last year and 11 this year.


Signup forms for fall sport teams are on the bulletin board outside Mr. Cofran’s office.


Boys basketball summer schedule is posted outside Mr. Cofran’s office.


Any interested football player in playing in a 7 on 7 jamboree, the sign up form is outside Mr. Cofran’s office


Track athletes, please turn your uniforms into Coach Therriault.


JV Baseball and JV softball players, if you haven’t turned in uniforms to your coaches, please bring them to Mr. Cofran.


Due to popular demand, Bear Wear sales will continue in the lobby during lunch this week, starting on Tuesday.


The Spring Athletic Awards program will be Tuesday night at 6:30. Please dress appropriately.

AP Boot Camp

Congratulations to the baseball team for a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Prospect Mt.

They have advanced to the quarter-finals and will play at Campbell, in Litchfield tomorrow at 4pm.


The softball team lost a tough 5-4 decision to Franklin in 8 innings.  Outstanding season girls----you should be proud.


Good luck to Leo Ntourntourekas and Becky Norton as they participate in the Meet of Champions at Merrimack High School tomorrow starting at 2:30.

Get Your Red Nose!

Come to the table outside the cafe and buy your Red Nose during lunch. This is part of a world-wide effort to help end childhood poverty. Friday is “National Red Nose Day.” There will be a student selling them until they are gone… Wait A Minute…  There’s More! For every purchase of a Red Nose you will be able to put your name In a box and if your name is selected at the end of the day next Friday………... You win a free parking pass for next year!

Playoff Baseball

The varsity baseball team will host Prospect Mt. in the first round of the playoffs at 4pm this afternoon. Friends of Newfound Football will be selling refreshments so that you can go to the game and then to Senior Recognition Night, which starts at 6:30
